Stamp duty is an one-off payment payable to the land registry in the district of your property’s location. Your lawyer will ensure this is transferred on your behalf. It is due within 30 days of registering the contract with the land registry.

In the case that the property value is less than 100,000 CYP then the stamp duty rate is 0,15% of the property value, else it is 0,2% of the property value.

Example Calculations
If your property value is 80,000 CYP then the stamp duty is 80,000 x 0.15% = 120 CYP
If your property value is 250,000 CYP then the stamp duty is 250,000 x 0.2% = 500 CYP
